Official Launch: NCEG’s Atlanta University Center Chapter Kicks Off With a Unified Leadership and a Powerful Talent Roster
The Atlanta University Center (AUC) — home to Morehouse College, Spelman College, Morris Brown College, and Clark Atlanta University — now has a new creative heartbeat: the National Collegiate Entertainers Group’s fourth chapter. What began as a vision quickly became reality thanks to the strategic leadership of Chapter President Adeyemi “Yemi” Mitchell and the team he assembled: MéKhai Beyah (Vice President), Sloane Quartey (Treasurer), Sasha Bryant (Head of A&R), Catlin “CLE” Edwards Jr. (Head of Audio), Brooklynn Hill (Head of Media), and Norell Mays (Head of Events).
Together, they represent a model of what NCEG’s mission strives to build: student-led, industry-ready teams that mirror the real music business structure — with roles rooted in strategy, execution, and collaboration.
Building a Team With Purpose
From the start, Yemi approached this chapter with intention.
He brought together a diverse group of leaders — each with distinct strengths — to ensure that the AUC chapter didn’t just exist, but thrived.
MéKhai, with her organizational mindset, anchors operations and team execution.
Sloane’s advocacy and fundraising experience ensures financial strategy.
Sasha’s A&R leadership means artists are developed with care and relevance.
CLE’s audio expertise makes sure every performance and studio session hits with technical excellence.
Brooklynn’s media vision ensures the chapter’s story is told with clarity and impact.
Norell’s event strategy makes sure experiences are memorable, purposeful, and impeccably executed.
This isn’t accidental — it’s intentional: a real-life version of what industry veterans like Jermaine Dupri emphasize about building teams, not solo careers, and reinforcing NCEG’s central ideology that talent grows best within structure and support.
AUC’s Initial Certified Entertainers (CEs): The Artists at the Center of the Movement
At the core of NCEG’s mission is artist development — and the AUC chapter is kicking off with a promising roster of talent.
A rising voice in the ATL scene, Jay Activist recently transferred from Kennesaw State University to Morris Brown College. Known for his sharp bars and energetic delivery, his move to the AUC chapter places him in a community that’s fully committed to helping him refine his craft while building his platform. Also known as Dahmarré Bournes, KwDaGoat brings both lyrical depth and storytelling to his craft. A senior Mass Media Arts major at CAU, his music is rooted in purpose, healing, and connection. He describes his art as something that doesn’t just entertain — it saves lives. Beyond his own recordings, KwDaGoat runs a creative collective and film company, using his skills to amplify his message and build community.
Nay Speaks is a dynamic voice from Spelman College whose art goes beyond rhythm — she challenges norms and sparks conversation. Her music combines introspection and empowerment, making her one of the most resonant voices emerging from the AUC. Her lyrical presence and stage energy reflect the kind of artists NCEG aims to cultivate and showcase.
These artists are not just names — they are the soundtracks of tomorrow, and the AUC chapter is committed to elevating them through tailored guidance, structured development, and real-world opportunities.
A Model Built for Today’s Industry
What separates NCEG’s approach is the team-first architecture.
Rather than isolated creative pathways, the AUC chapter mirrors true industry ecosystems where media, events, audio, and A&R work together to build synergy around an artist’s journey.
This structure nurtures not only artists but also the backbone of the industry — producers, engineers, marketers, media strategists, and executives who will one day shape the culture from every angle.
The AUC leadership isn’t just building a chapter — they’re building a playbook for sustainable creative success.
