We’re proud to announce that MéKhai Beyah, a sophomore Sociology major at Spelman College, has been officially named Vice President of the NCEG AUC Chapter—a powerful alliance of student leaders representing Spelman College, Morehouse College, Clark Atlanta University, and Morris Brown College.
A Leader Who Knows the Industry
MéKhai is no stranger to the game. With real-world experience in artist management and digital marketing—most notably through her work with Quality Control Music—she’s already earned a seat at the table.
“Entertainment is not just an interest of mine, it’s the industry I’ve been actively preparing to build a career in,” MéKhai shared during her pitch for the role. “Through my experience with Quality Control, I’ve seen firsthand how essential strong leadership, communication and organization are behind the scenes.”
In this fast-paced industry, professionalism and preparation matter. MéKhai brings both.
What a Vice President Does
According to the NCEG Chapter Manual, the Vice President is the operations captain of the chapter. That means:
Making sure presidential plans actually happen
Managing department heads across A&R, PR, Audio, and Events
Maintaining quality control on all chapter activities
Creating order out of chaos when things get hectic
In MéKhai’s own words:
“I understand that the role is about more than just ideas. It’s about execution, consistency, and accountability.”
She’s not here to talk. She’s here to deliver.
Intentional Leadership, Real Impact
MéKhai’s approach to leadership isn’t about ego—it’s about impact.
“What makes me a strong candidate for this position is my ability to lead with intention while supporting others,” she said. “I also care deeply about fostering a creative community that is both inspiring and professional.”
As Vice President, her top priorities include:
Boosting member engagement
Building industry-focused programming
Supporting chapter leaders and executing big-picture goals
She’s already thinking like a national executive.
