The National Collegiate Entertainers Group (NCEG) is proud to announce the official appointment of Adeyemi Mitchell as President of the fourth NCEG chapter, representing students from Morehouse College, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University, and Morris Brown College.
Leading the Legacy at the AUC
A sophomore Business Administration major at Morehouse College, Adeyemi (known on campus as “Yemi”) stepped into this position with vision, momentum, and a whole lot of receipts.
"I already use my skills in marketing and project management to create activations on campus, such as artist showcases, networking events, and mixers," he shared during his pitch. "I’ve got an event coming up with actors from The Chi—it’s going to be an opportunity for students to network and engage."
Yemi isn’t new to the grind. He’s a Sony Music Marketing Representative and a Grammy U Ambassador for the Recording Academy, bringing a national industry network directly to the Atlanta University Center.
What This Role Means
As Chapter President, Yemi now leads one of the most dynamic territories in the NCEG network. His duties will include:
Creating and executing the chapter’s annual plan of action
Recruiting and developing student performers, producers, and entertainment execs
Coordinating with campus leaders and faculty advisors
Representing the AUC chapter on the national stage
This position isn’t just ceremonial—this is a CEO role. Yemi will be responsible for activating events, building partnerships, mentoring his cabinet, and building a roster of elite student talent. According to the NCEG Chapter Manual, the President’s job is to “build and maintain a strong, positive reputation with the student body and university administration.”
A Vision Rooted in Action
Yemi’s already putting vision into motion. With live events and campus mixers in the works, he’s aiming to turn the AUC into a hub of student-led entertainment entrepreneurship.
“Bringing this chapter to Morehouse—and the AUC—is personal to me,” he said. “I’m familiar with how to navigate this space and I’m ready to build something bigger than myself.”
