When the National Collegiate Entertainers Group launched its very first chapter at Georgia State University, it needed someone who could lead from behind the lens—someone with not just talent, but timing, discipline, and creative vision. That someone is Tyler Pham, the newly appointed Head of Media for NCEG GSU.
And already, he’s making waves.
Vision + Execution = Tyler Pham
Tyler doesn’t just talk about ideas—he builds them, shoots them, edits them, and delivers them with speed and strategy.
“I have an excellent workflow and high execution,” he said during his interview. “I can deliver high-quality media projects and have optimized workflows for meetings and for the other Certified Entertainers.”
With a background in visual storytelling and digital media production, Tyler has already developed a unique ability to pull the best out of the artists he works with.
“I have a strong creative direction for each and every CE,” he explained. “I can break them down, focus on their story and how they want to project it, and overall have a sense of direction to where they want to be.”
In other words: it’s not just about capturing the content. It’s about helping artists shape their message and connect with an audience.
On the Scene: Summer Walker at Hurt Park
That vision was put to the test on Wednesday, January 21st, when Summer Walker hosted a surprise activation event at Hurt Park, right in the heart of Georgia State’s campus. Promoting her new album Finally Over It, the Grammy-nominated artist drew a crowd of fans, students, and creatives eager to be part of the moment.
Tyler Pham was in the crowd — but not as a fan. He was there on duty, camera in hand, capturing the full experience for NCEG GSU’s media archive.
“There is going to be an increase of media being put out on Instagram and other platforms,” Tyler said before the event. “Every creative idea will be organized. The results will be there.”
From crowd energy to candid moments, Tyler’s content from the event is already being used in recap reels and social campaigns. It’s another example of how NCEG chapters don’t just participate in culture — they document it, amplify it, and own their space in it.
What the Head of Media Really Does
According to the NCEG Chapter Manual, the Head of Media is responsible for:
Directing all photo and video content
Managing social media visual strategy
Leading a team of student creatives
Coordinating with PR, Events, and A&R to elevate artist brands
And Tyler’s approach is clear: consistency, clarity, and storytelling.
“Every idea will be organized,” he said. “You’ll see the results.”
The Future of Media at GSU
With Tyler at the helm, NCEG’s first chapter is positioned to become a media powerhouse. He’s working on content calendars, team training sessions, and plans to roll out branded storytelling series that feature both campus talent and special guests.
This isn’t just content — it’s curriculum. It’s culture.
